Mani C Kappan’s lead crosses 10,000, Jose K Mani lose all hope

KOTTAYAM: Mani C Kappan’s lead has crossed 10,000. Now, political observers in Kerala are looking at whether Jose K Mani will have another defeat similar to the set back which he faced in the previous by-polls.

Jose K Mani who contested in the 2019 byelections which occurred following the death of incumbent MLA K M Mani who held the constituency for the last 54 years had lost. Jose K Mani’s Kerala Congress which contested against Mani C Kappan at that time, lost the polls by 2,247 votes. Voting in the first rounds says that the trend in 2019 will also repeat this time. The current trends show that Mani C Kappan has not lost his sheen even in 2021.
