THRISSUR: There is a planned attempt to destroy the BJP in Kodakara hawala money case, said party leader A N Radhakrishnan while convening a press meet in the district.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has become the captain of the quotation team to destroy the BJP and party will strongly oppose these moves, he said in the press meet.

He alleged that the government and the investigation team were trying to implicate the plaintiff in the Kodakara incident and that the case was being investigated by hated individuals.

Radhakrishnan said DySP Sojan of the investigation team is a hated person. Another ACP V K Raju is a left fellow traveller. He said Martin, the accused in the case, is a CPI activist and if the documents in possession of the accused be examined, a situation will arise to question Kodungallur MLA. The investigating officers should immediately release the political affiliation of the accused, demanded Radhakrishnan.

The BJP has decided to stage strong protests in the state from June 10 against the move to defame the party in public, he said.

Radhakrishnan said the ruling party and the opposition have united in opposing the BJP and in the assembly Pinarayi Vijayan and V D Satheesan are playing siblings.

Referring to the discussions in the assembly, Radhakrishnan said the ruling party and the opposition have joined hands in criticizing the party in the absence of the BJP.
