Provide Rs 7,500 emergency financial aid to families outside IT bracket, start free universal vaccination immediately: CPM

NEW DELHI: The CPM politburo has asked the Center to provide Rs 7,500 as emergency financial assistance to families outside the income tax bracket in view of the Covid crisis. Free food kits should be provided to all those in need. The CPM also demanded that the vaccine be procured from abroad and that free universal vaccination be started immediately.

Covid is on the rise again in the country. Maximum number of people should be vaccinated before the third wave. Only 10.83 percent of adults received two doses. Every state has a complaint that there regarding vaccine shortage. The CPM also accused the Center of giving different figures on vaccination in Parliament on the same day, despite the slow pace of vaccine procurement.
