Allegation of bribery: Crime branch raid in C K Janu’s house, case against two BJP leaders

WAYANAD: The crime branch conducted a raid on the house of C K Janu. The raid is related to the Bathery bribery. The investigation team also examined the financial dealings of Janu. The allegation is that Janu received money from the BJP to contest in Bathery.

Meantime, the crime branch registered a case against two BJP leaders for allegedly bribing Janu. The case was registered against M Ganesh, secretary of the organization and Prashanth Malavayal, district general secretary. Both were asked to produce their mobile phones but have not submitted it so far. The action came after rejecting two notices.

JRP leader Praseeda Azhikode had told the investigation team that Prashant Malavayal had handed over the money to Janu at a resort in Bathery on the instructions of BJP state chief K Surendran. Praseeda said the money was given to Janu with the knowledge of M Ganesh.
