Senior scribe K M Roy dies

KOCHI: Senior journalist and writer K M Roy died at the age of 82 on Saturday. He died at his residence in Kochi at 3 pm today. Roy, a senior journalist and a noted columnist began his career in 1961 as co-editor of Keralaprakasam. He had also worked with the Economic Times, The Hindu and UNI news agency. He retired from active journalism as the editor of Mangalam daily.

Roy is the author of Kalathinu Munpe Nadanna Manjooran and Irulum Velichavum. He has twice served as the president of the Kerala Journalists Union. Roy has won several media awards.
