KOCHI: Metropolitan Joseph Mar Grigorios on Saturday said that the Jacob faction would not accept the High Court's proposal that the Orthodox-Jacobite factions should abide by the 1934 Constitution and move forward as one church. The metropolitan made the announcement at a press conference after a meeting of the managing committee of the Jacobite sect.

The metropolitan said the Jacobite sect would remain a separate church and would take matters to the high court after the synod. He said the case was 100 years old and the judiciary and the Orthodox Church should open their eyes towards the realities.
