THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cabinet meeting decided to allot additional seats for Plus One admission in the state. Accordingly, it was decided to conduct shift batches for Plus One and allow temporary batches. The number of seats will be increased by 10 percent where there is a shortage of seats. If there is a need for seats in the 7 districts where the current 20 per cent increase is arranged, a 10 per cent increase will be allowed in government schools.

In these districts, aided schools and unaided schools with basic facilities and applying for seats will be given an increase of 10 per cent. In the seven districts where the marginal seat increase has not been given earlier, an increase of up to 20 per cent will be allowed in all government schools as required. Aided schools and unaided schools with basic facilities in these districts applying for seats will be allowed an increase of up to 20 per cent seats in the marginal increase subject to conditions.
