Will Dulquer's 'Kurup' unlock mystery of Sukumara Kurup? Trailer gives indication of what to expect

The trailer of 'Kurup', the movie based on the life of Sukumara Kurup, who is still a fugitive in the history of Kerala's investigation, has been released. The trailer of the movie starring Dulquer Salman has been released in five languages. The trailer promises that the movie will be a visual feast on the big screen for the long awaited audience. The song 'Pakaliravukal' which was released last day also got a lot of attention.

Kurup, directed by Srinath Rajendran, who directed Dulquar Salman's debut film Second Show, will be released on November 12 in theatres across the world. Kurup will be available in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. It is now confirmed that the film will be released in over 400 theaters in Kerala alone. Kurup is set to become one of the biggest releases of Dulquer Salman's career. The film received an offer of a record amount to be released on an online platform. However, there are indications that the film will be released in theatres despite those offers.

The film was made on the biggest budget of Dulquer's career-Rs 35 crore. The movie is produced by Wayfarer Films-owned by Dulquer Salman and M Star Entertainment. Written by Jithin K Jose, the film is scripted by Daniel Sayooj Nair and the dialogues are by KS Aravind. Nimish Ravi is the cinematographer and Sushin Shyam is the music director. Vini Vishwalal is also behind Kurup as the Creative Director. The production designer of the film is done by Banglan, who won the National Award for Best Production Design through Kammara Sambhavam. Editing was by another National Award winner Vivek Harshan.

The heroine of the movie is Shobhitha Dhulipala who made her Malayalam debut with the movie Moothon. The film also stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko, Vijayaraghavan, P Balachandran, Surabhi Lakshmi and Shivajith Padmanabhan. Chief Associate Director - Praveen Chandran, Sound Design - Vighnesh Kishan Rajeesh, Makeup - Ronex Xavier, Costumes - Praveen Verma, Production Controller - Deepak Parameswaran, PRO - Athira Diljit, Stills - Shuhaib Aga and Poster Design - Anand Rajendran and Aesthetic Kunjamma.
