NEW DELHI: BJP state president K Surendran on Monday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah to demand that the NIA take over the Sanjith murder case. In a letter to Amit Shah, Surendran said that in the last five years, 10 RSS-BJP activists have been killed by Islamist militants. He said that so far about 50 Sangh Parivar activists have been killed by jihadists and that police have not investigated the conspiracy in any of these cases. K Surendran explained that despite knowing that the terrorist forces were behind this, no action was taken.
Surendran also requested the CBI to probe the multi-crore scam in Karuvannur Co-operative Bank. He was accompanied by Union Ministers V Muraleedharan, Rajeev Chandrasekhar and national spokesperson Tom Vadakkan.
