Major fire in Kozhikode; destroys property worth lakhs

KOZHIKODE: A major fire broke out in the godown of a shoe company. The fire broke out Tuesday early morning at Rehman Bazar in Kolathara at 3 am. No casualty has been reported. Those staying nearby have been evacuated to safer places. Migrant workers are those evacuated.

Seven fire force units reached the spot and doused the flames. The shoes have been completely destroyed. Loss of lakhs have been reported. The shoe company belongs to Bineesh. Initial reports said short circuit is the reason for the fire.
