Woman becomes pregnant due to hospital error, court orders Rs 10,000 per month to child as compensation

KANYAKUMARI: Despite undergoing sterilization surgery at a government hospital, a young woman from Kanyakumari became pregnant again due to a surgical error. The girl was later given compensation on the basis of a complaint filed in the court. The court order said that the education expenses of the child born now should be borne entirely by the state government. The court also ordered compensation of three lakh rupees to the mother and ten thousand rupees per month to the child till the age of 21.
