Woman's body found inside 100-foot-deep well; police say she committed suicide

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a shocking incident, a housewife committed suicide by jumping into a well in front of her house in Varkala. The deceased is Sindhu, a native of Ilakaman in Varkala. Police have recovered a suicide note from the house. In her suicide note, Sindhu wrote that she was committing suicide because of her financial liabilities. The preliminary conclusion of the police is that the woman committed suicide. The body has been shifted to the Parippally Medical College.

Sindhu went missing from her house this morning. Following this, her sons Nandhudas and Vidhundas went out in search of her. However, they were not able to find her. They later lodged a complaint with the Ayiroor police. After some time, Sindhu's footwear was spotted next to the well in the house. Soon, her body was found inside the 100-foot-deep well. After being informed by the police, the Varkala fire force arrived at the spot and took the body out of the well.

Sindhu's husband Thulasidas has been working abroad for several years. Sindhu had been living with her sons and mother-in-law.
