KYIV: The Indian embassy in Ukraine directed all the Indian students in Kyiv to reach nearby railway stations. The move comes as the weekend curfew in the capital city was lifted. The embassy has informed that the Ukraine railway has arranged special trains for evacuation.

The students have been advised to reach the railway stations in order to bring them to the western parts of the country. Indian students will be repatriated in 13 flights scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, said Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla. The authorities informed that immediate action will be taken to ensure food and water to those trapped in the conflict zones.

Meantime, Spice Jet will operate flights to Budapest for evacuating stranded Indians. The airline will utilize Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for this special flight, informed the authorities.
