KOCHI: The crime Branch has found some crucial evidences in the murder conspiracy case in connection with the actress attack case. The investigating team has recovered digital evidences destroyed from the mobile phones of the accused including Dileep, from a lab in Mumbai. A mirror copy of the hard disk in which the phone data was copied and the forensic report prepared by the lab have been found.

The crime branch had asked Dileep and his team to produce six mobile phones. However, Dileep and his team produced the phone after a long argument in the court. The crime branch said that by this time the accused had destroyed crucial evidences from their mobile phones. It was learned that the data was destroyed from the mobile phones when they were sent to the forensic lab in Thiruvananthapuram. The crime branch team then extended the probe to a lab in Mumbai.

All the six phones were sent from Kochi to Mumbai by a lawyers team. The investigation team also found its courier slip. A case is likely to be taken against the lab for destroying evidence. Meantime, the crime branch is planning to move the court seeking cancellation of Dileep's bail.

Vincent Chowalloor, a former income tax official, helped Dileep to destroy the evidences. He introduced Dileep to the lab director in Mumbai. Vincent, former assistant commissioner of income tax, is an accused in a corruption case registered by the CBI. Vincent said that he helped Dileep after his lawyers demanded as both their lawyers are the same.
