Body of two-month old baby in microwave oven; mother suspected to be behind incident

NEW DELHI: A body of a two-month-old baby was found inside a microwave Owen. The incident happened in Chirag Dilli area of south Delhi yesterday. The baby identified as Ananya was born in January to Gulshan Kaushik and Dimple. Her mother was upset over the birth of the baby girl. She fought with her husband over it. The couple has a four-year-old son.

The neighbours said Dimple was found locked inside when her mother-in-law raised an alarm. When they entered the room after breaking the glass, found Dimple lying unconscious with her son. They looked for the baby all over the house and then found her inside an oven. The oven was placed in a room on the second floor of the house. The father was in his departmental store at the time of the incident.

Police said they got information about the baby’s death around 3.15 pm and all sides are being examined. The baby’s parents are being interrogated and further investigation is underway.

The baby’s mother is the main suspect in the case.
