KOCHI: The bar council has decided to send a notice to Dileep's lawyers in connection with the actress assault case. The notice will be sent to advocates B Raman Pillai, Philip T Varghese and Sujesh Menon.

In her complaint, the actress alleged that advocate B Raman Pillai had attempted to influence witnesses and tamper with the evidence in the case. The lawyers influenced more than twenty witnesses along with the accused. Jinson, a witness in the case, was offered Rs 25 lakh and five cents of land with the help of the accused to influence him. These are the main allegations levelled against Raman Pillai.

The probe team had been levelling allegations against Raman Pillai from the beginning in the actress assault case. Although he was issued a notice by the police for questioning, he did not appear. The actress had alleged in her complaint that the actions of senior lawyers Raman Pillai and Philip T Varghese were not in line with the profession of a lawyer.
