Actress attack case: Kavya will not be questioned today, crime branch notice for Anoop and Suraj

KOCHI: Kavya Madhavan is not likely to be questioned today. The investigating team will decide at the meet convened in the morning whether she should be testified at her house or serve a notice as per CRPC 41 and summon her.

The investigating officials had convened a meet last night. A final decision could not be taken on the place she should be questioned. Director Balachandra Kumar was asked not to appear today to give his statement. The crime branch’s move was to question them together.

Kavya, who was in Chennai reached Aluva last night. The investigating team reviewed that the eighth accused Dileep and his wife Kavya have equal role in the case. The investigators hope that by questioning Kavya, will get an answer to many questions.

Meantime, the investigating team have stuck notices at the houses of Dileep’s brother Anoop and his sister’s husband T N Suraj. The notice served had asked them to appear for interrogation at the crime branch office this morning. The notices were stuck in the houses as they could not be contacted on the phone. However, the lawyers informed the probe team that the two were not in station and could not appear today.
