Conversation between lawyer and client is privileged communication; complaint against crime branch soon after voice clip surfaces

KOCHI: A complaint has been lodged against the investigation team for revealing the voice clips of Diileep’s lawyers. Sethunath, a lawyer of the high court, lodged a complaint with the bar council against the crime branch.

The plea mentioned that the conversation between the lawyer and the client is a privileged communication. Revealing via media is illegal. Even the court cannot order the release of privileged communication. The complaint asked the bar council to take legal action against the officials who violated rules.

The voice clips that emerged clarifies subversion of testimonies in the case of attack on the actress. These are the conversations between Dileep's brother Anoop and the lawyer. The voice clips has the lawyer teaching Anoop how to testify in court.
