Death of girl after taking Covid vaccine, cardiac arrest not reason for death, says post-mortem report

KOTTAYAM: The preliminary post mortem report of the seventh class student who died soon after taking Covid vaccine, said the cause of her death is not cardiac arrest. The dead has been identified as Devi Anil Kumar (12), daughter of Anil Kumar and Ajith of Kumaranalloor S H Mount Puthenparambil. There was bleeding in the heart walls. She did not show any symptoms of allergy. The doctor of the forensic department informed that more information can be given only after getting the pathology and chemical reports.

She took the vaccine from Athirampuzha PHC on Saturday. She vomited twice on that night. She also had a mild fever. She died while being taken to the medical college hospital on Sunday afternoon after having high fever and vomiting. PHC authorities said 174 people were given Corbevax vaccine on Saturday and no one else had any such health issues. Her body was cremated after keeping the body at S H Mount St Marcellina's Girls High School. She leaves behind her sister Durga.
