THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police issued a notice to former MLA K S Sabarinathan in the case of trying to kill Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on board. The notice issued asked Sabarinathan to appear for the interrogation as part of investigating the conspiracy.
He has been directed to reach the office of the assistant commissioner in Shanghumugham at 11 am tomorrow. A screen shot of a WhatsApp message that said Sabarinathan planned the conspiracy had circulated the other day. The message was circulated from a WhatsApp group in which Sabarinathan, also the state president of the Youth Congress, was included. Based on this, the police summoned Sabarinathan for questioning.
The youth congress activists tried to attack the chief minister on the flight from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram. A case was registered against them on charges of conspiracy, murder attempt and violation of aviation laws. Youth Congress workers Farzeen Majeed and Naveen Kumar protested against the chief minister on the flight. The visuals of the protest were captured by Sunith Narayanan.
Meantime, LDF convenor E P Jayarajan who pushed the activists has been banned from travelling in the Indigo flight. The activists who protested against the chief minister have been banned for two weeks.
