Kollam Munsiff Court orders Sonia Gandhi to appear on August 3

KOLLAM: The Kollam Munsiff Court ordered Congress chief Sonia Gandhi to appear on August 3. Paravoor Munsif Radhika S Nair in charge of Kollam Munsif ordered KPCC chief K Sudhakaran and DCC president P Rajendra Prasad to appear in the court.

The action was taken on the plea filed by Prithviraj, a local leader of the Congress in Kundara, demanding that the suspension order issued by the DCC President be revoked against the rules of the Congress.

Prithviraj's sub plea sought to prevent the fixing of a representative in the election of KPCC members till the decision of the case comes from Kundara block. Prithviraj was suspended by the then DCC President Bindu Krishna following the allegations made by Rajmohan Unnithan during the last parliamentary elections.


He approached the Munsiff Court stating that he did not receive the suspension order and filed a plea seeking withdrawal of the action, but there was no response.
