Gold worth over Rs 1 crore seized from Karipur airport

KOZHIKODE: Gold worth more than one crore rupees was seized from three passengers at Karipur airport. 2.183 kg of gold was seized during the inspection conducted by the Customs Preventive Department. It is reported that it will cost one crore ten lakh rupees.

660 grams of gold mixture was seized from Adil, a native of Kuttyadi, who arrived in Karipur on an Air India Express flight from Dubai on Tuesday. 895 grams of gold was seized from Vadakara native Harris who came from Dubai by Indigo flight. 485 grams of gold mixture was seized from Ilyas, a native of Kalpetta, who came in the same flight.
