19-year-old thrashed for not giving lays, one held, three absconding

KOLLAM: One person has been arrested for thrashing a 19-year-old boy. The arrested has been identified as Manikandan, a native of Eravipuram in Kollam. A case was registered against him under non-bailable section. Police said three people are absconding.

The incident happened yesterday at Valathungal. A group of people thrashed Neelakandan of Pallimukku. The accused had asked the boy to give them lays which he had in his hand. When he said no, they beat him.

Neelakandan was thrashed when he was going to his friend's house. The visuals of the attack were released earlier. The video was shot by Neelakandan's friend. The accused also beat him.
