CHENNAI: A youth has been arrested in connection with the murder of his 18-year-old wife and dumping her body in the waterfalls. She has been identified as Tamilselvi of Chennai Puzhal Kathirved. The accused Madhan has confessed to the crime.
Tamilselvi and Madhan got married four months ago after being in a relationship for years. A dispute broke out between the two during their honeymoon trip. He told police that in a fit of rage, he stabbed her to death and dumped her body in the waterfalls.
The girl went missing a month ago. Madhan first told his relatives and locals that she fled while visiting Kona falls in Andhra Pradesh. Her parents filed a complaint with the police after they failed to get her call.
An investigation by the Chennai police with the help of Andhra Police found that Madhan had gone to the Kona falls with his wife on the bike. The CCTV visuals showed only Madhan returning from there. He was later taken into custody and when questioned, he confessed to the crime.
