Police arrests women who tried to snatch bag from passenger in KSRTC bus after threatening her

KILIMANOOR: Police arrested women who threatened a passenger of KSRTC bus and took her bag and money. Shanthi L (45), hailing from Vijayanagar Colony, Chennai and Lakshmi R (40) were arrested. The incident happened last Thursday at 1.30 pm in Aramthana.

The women threatened Kallara native Roshika Kumari, who was traveling in a KSRTC bus going to Muthuvila, snatched away her vanity bag and purse with money, and tried to escape.

After Roshika made noise, the passengers and the conductor detained the women and informed the police. After registering a case on the complaint, the accused were arrested. Under the leadership of Kilimanoor SHO S. Sanooj, SI Vijith K Nair, GSI Rajendran Shajim, SCPO Rajith Raj, CPO Aji, WCPO Srekkutty and Naseehath nabbed the accused.
