SI sustains injuries after falling into pothole while returning from duty

ALAPPUZHA: A sub inspector sustained injuries after falling into a pothole on the national highway. He has been identified as Udaya Kumar, Kayamkulam principal SI. The accident happened at Kayamkulam on the National Highway last night around 11 pm.

Udaya Kumar fell into a pothole on the road in front of KPAC at Krishnapuram when he was returning home on his bike after work. He felt tired after getting up from the pit and sought treatment at the Kayamkulam Taluk Hospital.

The sub inspector sustained minor injuries. He returned home from the hospital after two hours. The Kayamkulam–Krishnapuram road has many potholes and is the dangerous road in the district.
