THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Speaker M B Rajesh denied the news that he had warned Health Minister Veena George to give a clear answer to the questions raised in the Assembly. He said that he just told the minister that it was not the right trend and should not be repeated. He clarified that words such as warning and censure were not used.

Congress legislative party secretary A P Anil Kumar had complained that the health minister was not giving clear answers to the questions. The complaint was that the minister had given the same answer on different subjects in the questions of Anil Kumar, I C Balakrishnan and K Babu and others in connection with the corruption in buying PPE kits.

Rajesh said that he sought an explanation from the health minister in his explanation to the assembly. The practice of giving the same answer to different sets of a question is not a correct trend. The speaker in his reply to the complainant said that he had informed the minister to be attentive and not to repeat this in future.
