K Jayaraman Namboodiri selected Sabarimala Melsanthi, Hariharan Namboodiri is Malikappuram Melsanthi

SABARIMALA: K Jayaraman Namboodiri has been selected as the melsanthi of Sabarimala. Jayaraman Namboodiri of Kannur Thaliparambu Keezhuthril Illam is presently the melsanthi of Chovva Temple. Krithikesh Varma of Pandalam Palace selected him through the lots drawn at Sannidhanam.

Jayaraman Namboodiri was the seventh name in the list. He said that he was lucky to have been selected as the melsanthi. V Hariharan Namboodiri of Vaikkom 140/13 Padinjattumcheri Indamthuruthi Mana has been selected as the melsanthi of Malikappuram. Hariharan, the fifth name on the list was selected in the sixth draw. Pournami G Varma of Pandalam Palace selected him as the Malikappuram Melsanthi.

Tantri Kandarau Rajivaru, Devaswom Board President advocate K Ananthagopan, Devaswom Commissioner B S Prakash, high court observer Justice Bhaskaran, special commissioner M Manoj led the function. There were ten people in Sannidhanam and eight in Malikappuram in the final list.

Meantime, udayasthamana pooja, neyyabhishekam, kalabhabhishekam, padipooja and pushpabhishekam will be held at Sannidhanam from today. The sanctum sanctorum will close on October 22. The temple will open on November 16 for mandala makaravilakku fest.
