'Chief Twit' Elon Musk visits Twitter headquarters with bathroom sink

NEW DELHI: Following a series of dramatic events before closing the $44 billion Twitter acquisition deal, Tesla CEO Elon Musk changed his Twitter bio to 'Chief Twit'.

Elon Musk also visited Twitter's San Francisco headquarters and shared a video of himself walking down the halls of the office carrying a sink. The video was shared with the caption"Entering Twitter HQ - let that sink in!". Twitter's chief marketing officer, Leslie Berland, had earlier sent an email to employees informing them that Musk intended to visit the San Francisco office.

Last April, Elon Musk announced that he would acquire Twitter for $44 billion. Dramatic events followed as the Tesla CEO announced last July that he is withdrawing from the deal to buy Twitter. He explained that the withdrawal was due to Twitter violating the purchase agreement by misrepresenting the number of spam and fake bot accounts.

Twitter had approached the court against the agreement being stopped midway. Earlier this month, Musk sent a letter to the company offering to buy Twitter for the same price he had said months earlier.
