THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister V Sivankutty has criticized the Indian team's defeat to England by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup semi-finals. He blamed BCCI and the selectors for the defeat. ‘We lost the World Cup because of the partiality of the selectors and the quota selection. Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant were chosen for the wicketkeeper-batsman position over the Malayali player Sanju Samson who was in good form, but they could not even score more than two-digit score’, wrote Sivankutty.
The minister also criticized considering Rishabh Pant, who was out of form, for the next matches. Minister Sivankutty used to share his opinion on sports games through social media. He earlier shared posts before the Football World Cup.
