Youth dies in Delhi after hair transplant goes wrong

NEW DELHI: A 30-year-old youth subjected for a hair transplant has died. The youth identified as Athar Rasheed died after the hair transplant at a clinic in New Delhi. His family alleged medical negligence.

Four people were arrested following the complaint lodged. Rasheed was the sole breadwinner of his family consisting of his mother and two sisters. He had black rashes all over his body, his kidneys stopped functioning and all his other organs stopped functioning and died later.

This is not the first time a death has happened during hair transplant. A 31-year-old youth had died in Gujarat in September last year. A 43-year-old businessman from Mumbai had died two days after undergoing hair transplant.
