VARKALA: The 90th Sivagiri pilgrimage, sanctioned by Sree Narayana Gurudevan, has started with the aim of human reformation and social progress. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the meeting held in the morning. Guru’s message of one caste, one religion and one God for man is great, Rajnath Singh announced that the central scheme of 70 crores for the development of Sivagiri will be implemented soon.

His words
‘Sree Narayana Guru traveled all over the country and worked for the people. Sree Narayana Guru implemented cultural unity. Everyone here is under the concept that everyone is one. We informed the world about the cultural heritage. Not only humans but all living beings are seen as equal. The same concept is found in the Upanishads. The concept of Thathwamasi is itself great. Devotional poet Tulasidas also said that all are one.

The worship of God was limited to certain sections in the society. It was during that time Sree Narayana Guru worked for the lower levels. Guru's message of one caste, one religion and one God for man is great. Guru worked for social change. He made the people understand the concept that man and God are one in a simple language. Gurudevan spoke a lot about the importance of education. Guradevan said that society can move forward if acquired knowledge.

While Kashi is the spiritual center of North India, it is Varkala in the South. Gurudevan said that if the community has to move forward, it should be organized. All Indians should go forward in an organized manner. Central project worth 70 crore for the development of Varkala Sivagiri will be executed soon. It will be implemented on time.’
