THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As the implementation of the differently-abled reservation is delayed indefinitely due to ambiguities, around ten thousand aided school teachers who have been appointed since November 18, 2018, are not getting approval and salary.

The High Court ordered that there should be a 3 percent differently abled reservation from 7th February 1996 to 18th April 201 and 4 percent from 19th April 2017 in aided school appointments. Following this, the Department of Social Justice issued an order on November 18, 2018 making reservation for differently abled mandatory in aided schools. However, due to ambiguity in the Public Education Department's order in this regard, the legalization process was put on hold. Doubts remain about the order issued again by the Department of Public Education following complaints. This includes those who have been appointed to additional posts following the post determination made in 2019.
