Stale Al faham seized from hotel in Kochi, food to be served today is prepared on previous day

KOCHI: Stale Al faham was seized from a hotel in Kochi again. The stale food was seized from Kumbari Restaurant in North Paravur. The food was seized when the health department of the corporation inspected the hotel. An inspection was conducted following secret information that the food to be served today is made on the previous day.

The health department have seized the food items. They also directed to close the hotel. The hotel authorities have given a strange explanation that it was not stale food and the food to be served today is usually made on the previous day.

70 people had taken ill in suspected food poisoning after eating kuzhimanthi from Hotel Majlis yesterday. The condition of one of the women is serious. Health Minister Veena George had informed yesterday that the license of this hotel has been suspended. The food safety department has tightened checking after this incident.
