Woman sustains serious injuries after hacked by husband

KOCHI: A youth hacked his wife at Elamakkara in Ernakulam. Maheswari, a native of Madurai, staying in a rented house near Bhavans School in Elamakkara was hacked by her husband Manikandan. She sustained nearly 12 injuries. She has been admitted at the Kalamassery Medical College Hospital in a critical condition. The incident happened Wednesday morning at 8.30 am.

Reports said a family dispute led to the attack. She sustained knife marks on her neck. The hospital said her condition is serious. A lot of blood has been oozed from her injuries. She is in the ICU of the hospital.
