NEW DELHI: The High court ruling against SN college management has been stayed by Supreme court. The cancellation of the appointment of 60 professors by the high court was the order put on stay by the supreme court. At the same time, Anu Jayapal who questioned the court has been asked by the court to give an appointment.
Highcourt single bench had rejected all the appointments done by the SN college trust in 2020 notifications considering the writ filed by Anu Jayapal which said that the trust is not following the 4% reservation policy for the differently abled. This ruling was supported by the division bench of the high court as well. The petition with special permission against this ruling submitted by SN college manager Vellapally Natesan and the candidates whose postings were rejected is allowed by the current ruling produced by Justice Suryakath and Justice JK Maheshwari. Although the appointments were rejected on the ground that the reservation for the differently abled was not followed, the posting for the petitioner Anu JAyapal was not instructed by the high court. She moved against this at the supreme court. For SN management senior advocate Suru Krishnakumar; advocates AN Rajbabu, and Roy Abraham were present. For the candidates whose appointments were rejected senior lawyers KV Vishwanathan, Sidharth Dave; advocates PS Sudhir, Ann Mathew and for Anu Jayapal senior advocate V Chidambresh, PN Ravindran was present.
