Taliban bans Pakistani rupee in Afghanistan

currency

KABUL: Afghanistan and Pakistan have not been on good terms for a long time. Even though Pakistan helped the Taliban to seize power in Afghanistan, eventually the terrorist regime fell out with Pakistan. As per the Afghan news agency Khaama Press, the Taliban has now ordered a complete ban on the Pakistani currency. The ban on the use of Pakistani rupees came into effect on October 1.

The ban on Pakistani currency was imposed by the Taliban Intelligence Agency. The Taliban has informed the association of money exchange dealers in the country that they have completely banned the exchange of Pakistani currency.

Many people, including traders, still transact in Pak currency in Afghanistan. Pakistani currency is used especially in the border areas with Pakistan. The new move of Taliban will be a major setback for them.
