CHENNAI: AR Rahman's concert in Chennai made headlines in September after receiving criticism for poor management. The issues were caused by the distribution of more than 50,000 tickets for the event, which had a capacity of 20,000 people.

Now the Association of Surgeons of India (ASICON) has filed a police complaint against the composer, alleging that he received Rs 29 lakh for the concert and the event did not take place. In response, his lawyers have denied all the allegations. There are also reports that Rahman has sent a notice to the association demanding compensation of Rs 10 crore for trying to defame him.

According to the association, the notice states that they have to withdraw the complaint filed against him within three days. The notice also demands that the association should apologize unconditionally for defaming Rahman's reputation. The notice also warned that the association would face legal and criminal proceedings if they failed to pay the compensation of Rs 10 crore. In the complaint filed by the association, it is said that AR Rahman received Rs 29 lakh in 2018.
