rithviraj, the director of Lucifer, said the film was the Malayalam version of Baahubali. Although it seemed like a farce at the time, it was actually a big vision, says costume designer and stylist Sujith Sudhakaran. He was talking everything about Lucifer's second part, Empuraan, releasing on March 27, with Kaumudy Movies.
'When I came from Lucifer to Empuraan, I tried to do some new things. As the film got bigger, the task also was bigger. The number of shooting days and the budget increased. Prithviraj has firm decisions on some things that this is what he wants. He was firm in his decision that Stephen should wear only a white shirt and mundu in Lucifer,' Sujith clarified.
There were talks on social media that Abraham Qureshi's glasses, rings, etc. were signs of lluminati. Sujith also responded to this. ‘It was Prithviraj's vision that Dita glasses could be used in Lucifer. He said that it suits more on Lal Sir. A different version should come in Empuraan.
Prithvi and I used to exchange specifications on glasses with each other. Lal Sir had used glasses worth up to Rs 2 lakh. All directors have their own styles. He enters the film only after spending five hours talking with a technician. He talked to me about each scene in that way. Had even talked about Lal Sir's jacket. Jackets worth more than Rs 2 lakh were bought for Lal Sir in Empuraan. Up to six or seven jackets of the same type have been used in a fight scene. The total cost w was more than Rs 14 lakhs. I had learned how to make a jacket for about two months,’ said Sujith Sudhakaran.
