NEW DELHI: Air India flight bookings dropped by about 20 per cent since the Ahmedabad plane crash, while ticket prices plummeted by eight to 15 per cent, said Ravi Gosain, president of the Tour Operators Association.

A Tata-owned Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed in Ahmedabad on June 12, killing all 241 passengers and 29 on the ground. Since the incident, a decline of 18 to 22 per cent in international ticket bookings and 10 to 12 per cent in domestic flights was reported. Data also shows that international ticket prices have decreased by 10 to 15 per cent.

Nine Air India flights were cancelled due to technical issues, including Dubai-Chennai, Delhi-Melbourne, Melbourne-Delhi, Dubai-Hyderabad, Pune-Delhi, Ahmedabad-Delhi, Hyderabad-Mumbai, Chennai-Mumbai, and Delhi-Pune.
