NEW DELHI: In the Pahalgam terror attack, it has been found that the terrorists used a Chinese-made satellite phone for communication. This crucial detail emerged from an investigation conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). It was discovered that the terrorists were using not only Chinese satellite phones for internal communication but also several Chinese mobile applications that are banned in India.
The NIA traced the location of the satellite phone in Pahalgam on April 22. The terrorists had reportedly crossed the border and entered India about one and a half years ago and had been hiding in the forests. The investigation into how they managed to communicate without being detected by Indian agencies eventually led to the discovery of the satellite phone usage. The equipment used is believed to be from the Chinese National Space Agency.
