BENGALURU: A youth ended his life after not being able to bear his wife’s harassment in Chamundeshwari Nagar, Hubballi, Karnataka. The youth identified as Peter Samuel committed suicide after mentioning the name of his wife Feeba alias Pinky in the suicide note.

‘Father, please forgive me. Pinky is killing me. She wants my death. I’m mentally exhausted, lost my job, no peace of mind. I can't live like this anymore. Should write on my coffin, ‘My death is because of my wife’s torture.’ The youth was found dead last Sunday when his relatives returned from church.

The two got married two years ago. There were disputes between the two. When the issues turned worse, the two lived separately. They had approached the court seeking divorce. The case is ongoing. Meanwhile, Pinky demanded Rs 20 lakh as alimony. His brother Joel said this also disappointed Peter.

Peter's father, Obbayya, alleged that his son’s wife and her family had put his son under mental pressure. Pinky went to her own house after fighting with Peter. When he asked her to return, she said that she will not return even after hearing his death. Pinky’s brother demanded Rs 20 lakh. Once when Peter was in office, she called. The two had a fight over the phone. His father said Peter was terminated from his job in the name of misbehaving in office.

The police have registered a case of abetment to suicide in the incident. The police said they are also examining the suicide note.
