KASARGOD: The Kasargod police are gearing up to investigate in detail the scams of a Nigerian criminal nabbed from a Nigerian colony in Bengaluru. Police had arrested Nigerian national Anthony Ogenerobo Efide from Bengaluru for swindling money from Kasargod Vidyanagar native K Madhavan, a former bank employee. The police will also investigate whether Anthony is related to the case in which a similar group was arrested in Gujarat.

The police concluded that the group has agents in all foreign countries. The Kasaragod police have filed a petition in court seeking custody of Anthony, who is on remand in the Kasaragod case. Anthony was nabbed from Bengaluru by the team led by Kasaragod CI P Ajith Kumar. The police are also investigating whether there are Malayalis in the group.
