Brings home pregnant lover, wife leaves house, youth climbs atop transformer with suicide threat 

PATHANAMTHITTA: A youth climbed atop a transformer in front of his wife's house and threatened suicide. Aromal (23) of Varyapuram made the threat demanding that his wife, who left home, to return. The police and fire brigade reached the spot after the locals informed him. After their persuasion efforts, the youth finally comes down.

The incident happened last night at Oonnukal in Pathanamthitta. His wife went to her own house after he brought home his seven-month pregnant girlfriend. Her stand is that she will not return to her husband’s house again. With this, Aromal climbed atop the transformer through which the 11 KV line passes and threatened to commit suicide.

A major accident was averted as the electricity connection was immediately disconnected after informed by the locals. The youth finally came down in the morning.
