Controversial hate speech: P C George’s bail revoked, he will surrender soon, says Shone George

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The bail granted to former MLA P C George in the hate speech case, has been revoked. The Thiruvananthapuram First Class Magistrate Court cancelled his bail on the plea of the police. His son Shone George said that his father will surrender soon at the Palarivattom Police Station.

The court had granted George anticipatory bail in the case registered at the Palarivattom police. Anticipatory bail was granted on the condition that he should not make any public statements. The prosecution had told the court earlier that George had violated the bail conditions and that a case has been registered in Kochi for his hate speech again.

A case was registered against George for his hate speech during a temple festival at Vennala Thykatt Sri Mahadeva Temple on May 8. The case was registered against him for his provocative speech against a religious group.
