THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the candidates beginning to submit their nomination papers, national leaders of various parties are gearing up to come to Kerala to secure votes for their respective parties. The LDF, which began the campaigning much earlier, is currently busy with candidate tours across constituencies. Contrary to the traditional ways, the candidates will tour each assembly constituency in three phases. Roadshows will be organised in each constituency. Squads of various categories like youth, women, IT professionals etc. will come to secure votes. The leadership has given instructions to organize 15 family meetings in each booth.
Two secretariat members and state committee members have been given the charge of election campaigns in the constituencies where the CPM is contesting. Meanwhile, two state executive members are in charge of where the CPI is contesting. Apart from the chief minister's constituency tour, national leaders will also arrive from the next day.
UDF's squads till April 24
UDF will seek votes more than three times in each house. The squads will continue campaigning at houses till the 24th. More than two family gatherings will be held in one booth. Union Minister S Jaishankar will come to Thiruvananthapuram where Rajeev Chandrasekhar will submit his nomination papers.
