Financial assistance to endosulfan victims, salary revision for employees to be implemented

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cabinet meeting decided to provide financial assistance to 1031 eligible people who were included in the preliminary list and later excluded from the final list based on the first phase of medical examination and field inspection conducted in 2017 to identify Endosulfan victims in Kasaragod district. Approval for this has been given to the district collector.

Flats will be allotted to 50 extremely poor families in Alappuzha district who are on the landless and homeless list under the Extreme Poverty Alleviation Scheme. As part of the 'Punargaeham' scheme, 50 flats will be provided in the Fisheries Department's flat complex, which is being completed at Mannumpuram, near Purakkad in Alappuzha district. The additional 50 flats will be provided under the Punargaeham scheme.

The 11th salary revision for the employees of the Kerala State Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation will be implemented with effect from 01.07.2019. The anomaly arising as a result of the 10th salary revision order will be resolved, and ratio promotion will be allowed. Permission has also been given to continue the existing status quo until a final decision is taken regarding the payment of the EPF employer's share in the salary revision. The 11th salary revision will be implemented with conditions for the employees of the LBS Centre for Science and Technology and its affiliated institutions.

KIIFB funding to be considered

KR Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts Institute's infrastructure development proposal of Rs. 26,58,53,104 has been approved for consideration for KIIFB funding.

Relaxation of land limits

Out of the 6,48,760 hectares of land held by Thiruvananthapuram KIMS Healthcare Management Limited, 1,14.34 acres of land in Kadakampally Village, which is in excess of the land limit, will be granted relaxation in the land limit, subject to the conditions as per the Kerala Land Reforms Act.

Land for Defence Research & Development Organisation / Naval Physical & Oceanographic Laboratory

As requested by the DRDO Project Director, 2.7 acres of land included in Poovar Village and the coastal outskirt, will be allotted to Defence Research & Development Organisation / Naval Physical & Oceanographic Laboratory for exploration at a fair price of Rs. 2,50,14,449.
