Kerala records 17,983 COVID-19 cases on Friday, 127 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 17,983 COVID-19 cases on Friday. Among these, 16,918 persons developed the disease through contact, including 877 cases without an identified source of infection. 72 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 116 health workers contracted the disease on Friday.

15,054 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,62,846 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 127 deaths due to the virus on Friday with the toll rising to 24,318.

Thrissur 2784, Ernakulam 2397, Thiruvananthapuram 1802, Kollam 1500, Kottayam 1367, Kozhikode 1362, Palakkad 1312, Malappuram 1285, Alappuzha 1164, Idukki 848, Kannur 819, Pathanamthitta 759, Wayanad 338, Kasargod 246.
