THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has announced that the lockdown imposed across the state will be eased from June 16. The second wave, which started in late April, was strongest in May and then began to subside in June, the CM said.
With the state recording a constant decline in both TPR and the number of Covid cases, it has been decided to ease the lockdown by allowing more concessions, the CM said. The CM also reminded that the lockdown has not been completely withdrawn. Meanwhile, he warned that the number of patients in Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur is likely to increase.
