post

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The KSEB management has denied permission for the Vidyuthi Bhavan encircling strike demanding an end to the disciplinary action against the leaders, but the Officers' Association has not backed down from the strike. Minister K Krishnankutty, who is arriving in the capital today, is scheduled to hold discussions with the representatives of the recognized trade unions.

The Electricity minister and management are of the view that the union problems have been resolved in the wake of the suspension of the association leaders. However, the association said that it was unfair for the disciplinary action to continue and for the old posts not to be filled. There is a warning that special disciplinary action will be taken against those who have not been on duty since the fifth day of the strike.
